About the Role
As a Senior Data Engineer at HaulCo, you'll own the data infrastructure that powers our moving platform. You'll build pipelines, design our warehouse, and deliver the analytics that help us operate smarter and serve customers better. This is a foundational role on a small, high-impact engineering team.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Build and evolve our data warehouse to support operational and analytical workloads.
- Partner with engineering and operations to instrument systems and capture the right data.
- Create dashboards and reporting tools that give the team real-time visibility into move operations.
- Establish data quality standards, monitoring, and alerting across the platform.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
- Strong proficiency with SQL, Python, and modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Spark, or similar).
- Experience designing and operating data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, or similar).
- Comfort working in cloud environments (GCP or Cloudflare).
- A bias toward shipping — you build things that work, then iterate.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
